How can I reduce the my contribution towards global warming?

My Green Earth Foundation beleives that to alleviate the impending dangers of global warming, every individual has to follow the three concepts of Sustainability, Conservation and Alternative Energy adoption.

We strongly beleive that to reduce the impending perils of Global Warming, each individual has to assess his/her carbon footprint very thoroughly. Once an individual understand the extent of damage being rendered because of his/her life style, the hope is for that individual to do everything possible to reduce that footprint.

Here are some basic steps every one of us can do to reduce our energy consumption -

1. Change lights to energy efficient bulbs

2. Turn off lights when we do not need them

3. Recycle effectively and efficiently

4. Use Public Transportation when possible

5. Use Organic foods

6. Decrease meat consumption

We consider these three items as the key to success for reducing the energy consumption and carbon footprint per individual. Al though we need more energy legislations by the government, if every citizen can be responsible with how one uses natural resources and energy; we can make a very significant difference to the world we live in.
